As the son of a mechanical engineer, I followed in my father’s footsteps early on. Always keenly interested in technology, curious and fascinated by processes, e.g., development or production, I studied mechanical engineering at the TH (Technical University) Darmstadt with a postgraduate degree in industrial engineering.
After successfully completing my studies, I spent three intense years at a small company as a project engineer in the machining area, dealing with screw taps and milling cutters.
A very exciting offer to set up a new area then exposed me to the most advanced electrical engineering, and so I was allowed to get to know reactive current compensation systems and filter circuits. Moreover, I got to know the structures of a large corporation (> 150,000 employees worldwide).
After 5 years, the Sales Manager and later Managing Director positions beckoned, and I switched to the high-performance plastics (GRP/CRP) industry. At a medium-sized company (approx. 25,000 employees worldwide), I became deeply familiar with production processes and went through a complete production off-shoring process.
In the spring of 2000, after the sale of the division, I decided to move to recruitment consultancy as a freelancer – and to this day I have not regretted this step.
As an “unusual headhunter” – now HEART-Hunter, I truly enjoy connecting a wide variety of people with each other.
As an enthusiastic motorcyclist, my customers only know me in suitable clothing, and I hardly ever wear a suit (much to my wife’s despair).
Since 2020, I have been a Senior Partner at itenpartner with a focus on executive search. At home in the DACH region and with ample international experience, we bring companies and the right executives together.
